September 25 (Day 1)

Reminders:


  • Terry Fox run information:
    • On Friday, I need to dress warmly for the weather for the Terry Fox Run (in layers and in safe outdoor shoes to run in rather than winter boots or rain boots).  If it is snowing or raining lightly, we are still running outside.  (If weather is unsafe, we will be inside.)  I also need to bring a pair of dry socks to change into afterwards
  • Bring a donation for the Terry Fox run
  • Healthy Hunger Special Lunch tomorrow
  • Grammar homework due tomorrow
Today we:
  • did a food colouring experiment where we put celery in different colours in science and tomorrow we are going to look at what happened - ask me what the function of stems are!
  • also looked at different types of roots (les racines à fibres et les racines pivotante) - ask me what the function of roots are!
  • read a bit of a story called Fatty Legs
  • made puzzles to separate words into syllables in French
  • had music
  • had physical education and we played a type of capture the flag game
  • did math - we finished up some work we started
  • read in French for 25 minutes
  • watched the music video for the song Alberta Bound and we brainstormed different geographical elements we saw in the video
