Today: Dane: we had gym and we played hockey Lily: in science we explained our Rube Goldberg simple machine to Mme McTague's class then recorded it on Explain Everything on the iPad Kai: we started a new subject in math which is rounding and estimation to the nearest tenths, hundredths and thousandths Remas: we read in English or French for 30 minutes or finished our science poster or worked on our book report David: we went to the library and we got our new books Abi: in social studies we drew photos of how the First Nations people lived in the past Lily: we read chapter 4 of Valentine Picotée and answered some questions about it

Remas: we worked on our simple machines poster and read for 30 minutes in English or in French if we were done Lexi: we spent the morning in Mme McTague's class and Mme McTague's class spent the morning in our class for Discover Archaeology Lily: we went to Mme McTague's class and we read a small book in French about pulleys and answered some questions Annalise: we corrected our French grammar on "les déterminants"  Please bring finished homework tomorrow: EG Maya: we read a book called Rube Goldberg's simple normal humdrum school day and after we read it we drew a Rube Goldberg machine Ask me what a Rube Goldberg machine is!

Reminders: Wear blue, red or white tomorrow or your Varsity sweater Choice & Curiosity tomorrow Carnaval pep rally tomorrow at 11:15 am FOOD ALLERGIES OR SENSITIVITIES TO HOT CHOCOLATE AND CROISSANTS? On Wednesday, February 12th, students will be provided with hot chocolate and croissants as part of our celebration of French Canadian food and culture.     If you DO NOT want your child to eat this snack, please send me an email to let me know prior to Tuesday, Feb 11  and send a special snack for your child to eat on Feb. 12.  (Thank you to VASPFS for funding this treat for the school!) On February 12, students are welcome to bring  Valentine   Cards  to school if they choose.  If your child does choose to participate, please have them bring one for each student in their class.   Please do not send any candy, food or toys with the  Valentine s to school .
