September 18 (Day 3)

** REMINDERS**

  • Verify, sign and return student demographic form (purple form)
  • Parent-teacher conferences Thursday evening and Friday (no school for students on Friday)
  • Scholastic orders due October 1st

Today we:
  • reviewed photosynthesis (la photosynthèse). Ask me how plants make their own food!
  • practiced for the Terry Fox run with M. Trevor during physical education
  • read the book "The Invisible Boy" during snack and discussed how we can make others at Varsity feel more appreciated and valued - ask me how we can make everyone feel included and welcome at school!
  • continued practicing patterns in math - specifically we found the rule of each pattern and elongated the pattern. For example, we would take the pattern below and make a table to help us identify the rule, then we would add figure 4, 5 and 6 using the rule of the pattern.

  • reviewed long and short I vowel words and practiced spelling these words using the game "climb the ladder" - ask me how we played!
  • had music with Mme Edgett
  • read the book "What if Everyone Did That" and in French, we discussed school situations of "What if Everyone Did That" and in art, we are each drawing a different situation. Ask me which scenario I am drawing!
