November 25 (Day 2)

Reminders:
  • FOOD BANK DONATIONS NEEDED: We are collecting non-perishable food items for the Mayor's Food Bank Drive until December 19.  Items can include:  Pasta sauce, granola bars, juice boxes, powdered milk, stage three baby food, peanut butter, pasta, rice, soup cans or packages, cereal, oatmeal, canned tuna, canned chicken, canned beans, canned fruit, pancake/bread/biscuit mixes, gluten-free pasta, etc.  Thank you for your support!
  • Tomorrow book report presentation: Elané, Abi, Rhys, Charlotte
  • Healthy Hunger Special Lunch on Thursday
  • Ski forms will be handed out tomorrow - due on Thursdsay, November 28 2019

Today:
  • Annalise: we did 5 au quotidien
  • Lily: we did book report presentations
  • Zoe: we looked at why "oe" is attached for example in the word "œuf", "sœur", "phœnix
    • Ask me why!
  • David: we made invitations for our Book Report Friday share - parents are invited to come check out the grade 4 book report on Friday, November 29 from 8:45 to 10:15 in the gym
  • Rhys: we read 2 paragraphs about Alberta to practice comprehension. Some strategies we practiced are:
    • Lexi: The main idea of a paragraph is in the first sentence (introduction sentence)
    • Maya: Follow what you're reading with your finger
    • Zoe: If there is a word in bold you can look at the back (in the glossary) to find out what it means
    • Annalise: Look for key words in the sentences 
    • Dane: If you see a big huge word, like "l'agriculture" it has "culture" in it and "agri" so use smaller words within bigger word, or try to see if it is a similar word in English
  • Charlotte: we worked on our research on a region of Alberta
  • Lily: we had another little math quiz on area
